The more sodium you eat, the more fluid your body holds on to, which can make you feel bloated — and can also result in unintentional weight gain. One way to cut back on sodium is by avoiding canned goods, processed meats like bacon and sausages, cured meats like salami and corned beef, frozen dinners and pizzas, canned soups, and sauces, chips, pretzels, and other salty snacks. Instead of buying these high-sodium foods at the store, try making your versions at home from scratch with fresh ingredients.

Sausages contain saturated fat and nitrates which are often linked with increasing the risk of cancer and heart disease. Sausage also contains many calories, which means that eating it can cause you to gain weight quickly.
Eating healthy doesn’t have to make you feel like you’re eating rabbit food. Lean proteins, fresh vegetables, fruity salads, and complex carbs are just some of the foods that will help keep you satisfied with your healthy diet. Avoiding unhealthy sugary foods and starchy carbs is a must. However, if you do eat these you should follow my motto: “everything in moderation.” Being consistent with your healthy choices is what will ensure your diet will be effective for weight loss.
